‘This small village art shop and gallery is like an Aladdin’s cave, full of delightful art work from both local and national artists. The staff are most helpful and understanding, helping with the choice of both the paintings and the framing, which they undertake to a high standard’. Mr & Mr Coulson.

Here at Art Work we are pleased to offer a professional service for framing your paintings and drawings, photographs, cross stitches and tapestries, football shirts, sports memorabilia, and just about any artefacts you can think of.
We have framed medals, spoons, aircraft parts, guns, masks, and fossils to name but a few! |
We have our own workshops so your image or artefact doesn’t leave the premises. The whole framing process takes place here starting at the counter where you will be guided through our many styles and designs, to find the best way to enhance your image.
We will advise you on visual and practical aspects of your choices. |

In the workshop we have a Keencut Gold mountcutter with is often used in the first stage of preparing your picture.
We handcut single, double and multi-aperture mounts to your specification. |
Next the glass and backing are cut to size. We offer a full range of specialist glass and acrylic to protect your image. Have a look at our Water White glass if you can (it’s so clear that most people have to touch it to confirm it’s really there!).
For special and delicate images we have a range of conservation glass.

Our aim is to produce a finished picture that you will be proud to hang.
If you are an artist and wish to frame a body of work for exhibition, we will help you to achieve good results at reasonable prices, especially if you do some of the finishing work. |
